Catch a sunrise from the "hammock village" or sunset from under a willow tree, overlooking rolling fields of corn, soybeans and alfalfa. Play a game of chess with a life-sized chess set or wander through the organic growing fields, watching for hummingbirds. A mowed lawn provides space for a game of frisbee. Or relax in the shade of a tree. Depending on your preference, you could back into a spot under a maple tree, pull into a spot on our driveway adjacent to an apple tree or pull through to the edge of the property on the lawn facing the wide open countryside where you can watch wind turbines spin in the distance. Our small organic farm is completely powered by the sun. Depending on the season, fresh vegetables may be available for purchase. If requested, we're happy to loan one of our books to read: Farmstead Chef, Rural Renaissance, Homemade for Sale, ECOpreneuring or Soil Sisters. In the immediate area are various hiking trails, bicycle trails, an ATV (motorized) trail, cheese factories to visit, two breweries offering tours, and two wineries to visit. Nearby Monroe, Wisconsin, is known as the "Swiss Cheese Capital of the USA;" New Glarus is known as "little Switzerland."
