This is an Army Corps of Engineers Park. there are two free campgrounds available on Wright Patman Lake in Texas. Both campgrounds do have limited facilities and either have no or very limited amenities. Therefore, they are considered primitive campsites. Thomas Lake Park is a free camping park with a boat ramp. Camping is permitted for a maximum of 14 days. Campers do not have access to any restroom facilities, water or electricity on premises. Each camping area does have a picnic table. Neither camping park requires reservations, so they are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. They do offer view of Wright Patman Lake and have shade provided by the tall pine trees that grow throughout the region. These two camping parks are located near the other day use facilities and campgrounds run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the lake. They are located off Clear Springs Park in Texarkana. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers can be reached at (903) 838-8781 to learn more about any of their facilities and parks on Wright Patman Lake. The parks are near hiking, biking, fishing, swimming and hunting locations.
